This project included demolition and new construction for 4 single family units for the Newport Housing Authority. Weidemann Court is a development offering four single family dwellings in a multi-phased residential development in the Newport, RI. These units are offered as a Rent-to-Own program. The project was designed to be a model of sustainable development, from energy efficient building envelopes and mechanical systems, to site development and drainage. This was funded by a HUD Replacement Housing Funds Program.

About the Client

The mission of the Housing Authority of the City of Newport, Rhode Island is to provide decent, safe, sanitary, affordable housing, and to promote home ownership, economic development, and economic self-sufficiency for public housing residents and a living environment free from discrimination and crime.
