Project: Environmental Engineering Lab

The completely renovated Environmental Engineering Lab is a fully self-contained wet lab. In this lab, students will perform many of the procedures found in drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities. In addition to instruction, the lab is also used for year-round research, focusing primarily on novel methods to remove contaminants in wastewater and re-purpose them for other uses.

Project Description

Project: Dining Hall Renovation
Location: Brockton, MA
Year Completed: 2019
Project Manager: Mark Menard

This project consisted of the renovation of a 1970’s dining hall to modernize the space for Massasoit Community College students and staff. The interior renovations included new finishes and millwork; new seating types; new vending/self-serve options; a new condiments area; staff dining; and a student life services suite with reception, offices, and student work/study area.

About the Client

Massasoit Community College is a public community college in Brockton, MA that was founded in 1966. Massasoit Community College offers associate degree programs in arts, sciences, and applied sciences, and one-year and short-term certificates for a range of occupations and interests.

Project Description

Project: School Addition Project
Location: Narragansett, RI
Year Completed: 2018
Project Manager: Mark Menard

This project consisted of building a 3,000-square-foot addition onto the Quest Montessori School. The new addition features a 48-by-48 multi-purpose space and created a new main entrance connecting the multi-purpose room and the existing building. The multi-purpose space is used for indoor physical education, large gatherings and after school programming.

About the Client

Located in Narragansett, RI, Quest is a private independent Montessori school providing a safe, caring and peaceful environment to 115 students from eighteen months to eighth grade.

UMass Boston Atrium



Project Description

Project: Campus Center Atrium Renovation
Location: Boston, MA
Year Completed: 2013

Noise from students in the common areas of the Atrium was flowing into the 2nd and 3rd floor offices causing noise interference between floors and disturbing the administrative staff.  A solution was formulated where Nadeau could add structural framing for concealed window frames behind the drywall and install glass panels in the second and third floor openings of the Campus Center office wing. Placing glass in these 32 openings ensured reduction of noise transfer, however Nadeau’s team had to overcome the challenge of operating in an occupied space without disrupting ongoing student and office activities.

URI LGBTQ Center
University of Rhode Island

Project Description

Client: URI Gender and Sexuality Center
Location: South Kingstown, RI
Year Completed: 2014
Project Manager: Mark Menard

The new center is a residential-style building located on a 1/2 acre university parcel on the gateway road to the main campus. The project included the demolition of the 4,000 SF Ruggles House and the construction of a two-story wood structure of approximately 5,000 sf. The spaces include multipurpose rooms, a student lounge and resource area, a kitchen, and office space. The site development included parking and beautiful landscaping. The center’s mission is to improve the experience and lives of the LGBTQ community and the larger community at URI by providing a safe and welcoming environment by providing meaningful programs and services.

About the Client

The new Gender and Sexuality Center provides a facility which is able to support the mission and needs of the LGBTQ community and straight allies. URI is the only public institution in Rhode Island offering undergraduate, graduate, and professional students the distinctive educational opportunities of a major research university.
